IAG’s Programs

IAG has a handful of undergraduate student programs with varying degrees of commitment, all geared towards teaching the Stern community about value investing.

Training Program

The Training Program is a 10-week program focused on accounting, valuation, idea generation, and the tenets of value investing. Please note that training progresses into joining the portfolio team, dependent on performance.

Mastering accounting and valuation frameworks
Developing bottom-up business intuition through detailed company and industry analysis
Constructing full DCF models with comprehensive revenue and operating builds
Crafting investment theses, industry overviews, and devil’s-advocate analyses
Deep dives into value investing literature and fund letters
Analyzing case studies of past value investing pitches

Program Curriculum

The program culminates in a trainee creating their own pitch and presenting it to members of the portfolio team.
